CESAR Salad

Chubbys Restaurant - CESAR Salad
Chubbys Restaurant - CESAR Salad - Image 2
Chubby's Diner, Manteca CA Ordered 2 Cesar Chicken salads for $26.00 as shown on paper receipt plus the additional surcharges which was $34.00 and some change for UberEats surcharges that shows on my account not paper receipt that was attached to food order. I always order my dressing on the side but if I knew beforehand the size I was getting ...I would have ordered 4 on the side for the size of salad it was. What I received was 2 salads ...all lettuce....a few slices of chicken ... 2 very small containers of dressing (1 for each salad) not enough for the size of salad(s) and nothing else...no tomatoes...croutons anything. Picture attached of one salad as I threw mine out because I was disgusted. For the amount of money charged with all the surcharges. There is no excuse for the orders to be messed up (as it seems to be a Hit or Miss). The orders should be checked when placed and checked before going out the door. If I place my order and then the person delivering it is the one who placed my order to the restaurant from there and screws it up ....then expects a tip before you receive your food not knowing your order is accurate. What a ripoff... I am done ....a new policy needs to be in place where our order goes directly to the restaurant... the accuracy of the order is checked before leaving the premises. No tip given until the order is received, and you know what you ordered is there and then the size of the tip is determined at your discretion and paid through the UberEats app. I have no problem tipping as I know it can be challenge going all over the place. However, I should receive an accurate order when delivered.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE - 10 MONTHS OF FAILED CUSTOMER SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am so DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED with Chubby's Restaurant of Cockrell Hill!! This Sunday was my 1st ( and maybe LAST HORRIBLE visit), due to 39+ min wait for 3 meals and incredibly Rude and Demeaning behavior of onsite "manager" Ellas! Arrived onsite a little after 11:30 with brother, friend, and 7mos baby -told it would take 15 min for seating and it did - we were seated in booth by window, given a high chair -after 3-4 minutes met waitress "Megan" took our group drink orders.. few minutes later took our meal orders. the 3 of us talked, drank our drinks, and waited. 10 min.. 20 minutes.. 30 minutes... Finally after having waited 15 min to be seated and more than 39+ minutes for 2 breakfast/1 chicken breast meals to be cooked, everyone was really frustrated and HUNGRY. I quietly asked to speak to manager, 4-5 minutes later .. a female in black tshirt/pants covered in flour comes from kitchen to our table and without introduction, places receipt held in hand to show a "simple" 20% comp ($5) -WITHOUT even talking to us. I was, to say the least, very put off. I introduced myself, asked for her name "Ellas" but as I attempted to speak with "", there was a visible change in her tone and body language. Ellas became very defensive, crossed arms/voice became louder -she stated it was NOT her fault that we came on a "Busy Sunday" and said these was "no guarantee of cooking time or serving time and she did not have to explain why people who came after us had been served and left as we still waited". she went on to state she" felt 35+ minutes was acceptable wait to her" " wasn't going to let us ruin her day" "NO other discussion or discount would be considered" and if we had further issues to call her manager's, then walked away to get their info. HOW RUDE and humiliating! For my entire discussion, I was polite and never raised my voice; but, Ellas was immediately rude and condescending. So much so, my brother became angry, another customer offered their apologies for our situation, everyone gathered their belongings, and we left without eating. **Honestly, I was so appalled by how I'd been treated -WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'D (No.. WE'D) EXPERIENCED IN YEARS, that as soon as I was back in my car, I searched the net to get corporate office # but ended up calling Plano location for #; there I was told by shift manager that she'd forward info to her manager and owner George would follow-up ASAP.. I gave my info, we all left site..I followed up via email and phone with managers/owners Peter, George, and John Touris TO NO AVAIL... just flowery EMPTY promises to do better, train their manager, and compensate my family "in some way".. TO DATE, 10 MONTHS LATER AND STILL NOTHING!!!

Wow! I believe it!

I went to work for John at the Northwest Hwy location for four days back in 2015 and the owner John pulled me aside and said to me he wanted me to eventually be a manager for him that he really liked the way I worked, I was appreciative of his comet to me, I told him it would possibly happen, he told me to NOT say anything to the other workers, I agreed and continued to work as a waitress. After we spoke Shannon the Assistant Manager asked me what he had said to me, I told her, he said I was doing a great job!

Another girl there was young and coming to work everyday crying because CPS had took her daughter from her. I was feeling a drama place to work at that time. The girl started yelling at me stating I was being mean to her because I wouldn't listen to her whining everyday I would just walk away and do my job.

Later that night the whining girl was rolling silverware and raised her voice to me started crying saying I have been rude to her because I wouldn't listen to her whining all the time! I told her no, I just don't think you should bring your personal problems and whining crying all the time at work and I choose not to listen to it everyday that I am here to work only. Then Shannon the Assistant Manager came up to us and asked what was going on? The girl told her, "she's mean to me", I told Shannon, "no I'm not being mean to her, I just don't want to hear her whining all of the time & crying everyday saying she doesn't know why CPS took her child from her".

Shannon looked at me and said,"just because your older than her do you think she should bow down to you"?

I told her,"no, I just don't think she should bring her personal problems and crying everyday at work"! I walked away at that time John the owner that supposedly wanted me to be a manager for him walked in the store, I walked up to him and told him, I am not going to work for him anymore, due to his other employees being rude and unprofessional about the way they treat people. So I quit!! Thank God I donihave to deal with those people anymore.

Now I call on the phone to speak with Alicia, Johns wife, she's supposibly the bookkeeper in the office, about my W2 as to when will I receive it?

A girl name Jolycia answers the phone, I asked to speak to Alycia, Jolycia asked me what this is about? I told her this is personal business that I need to speak to Alycia, she hung up on me. So I called back the phone rang about six times, finally Jolycia answers again, I told her how rude to hang up on me that was not acceptable and asked to speak to Alycia again?

She hands the phone to a guy named Mark, as she's handing it to him I hear her say,"its about her W2 she's mad because she hasn't got it!" Mark says, "Hello this is Mark, I told him that Jolycia should not be so rude and hang up on me when I asked to speak to Alycia and it's none of Jolycia or anyone else's business about my personal business other than Alycia and I!, Mark said, "yes I understand that if it makes you feel better we have until the last day January 31st to send out the W2's" I told him well Alycia said by January 25th that's why I'm calling today, that he needs to tell Jolycia to shut her mouth because my personal business is none of her business and hung up!

These owners are rude and so are the people that work for them.

Such a bad bad experience!

Touching food with bare hands

We dined at Chubby's of Dallas (11331 E NW Hwy) today as a family. Our server, Jessica was awesome! She was attentive and very nice. My sister paid the check so my son and I decided to purchase pies. We stood at the register surrounded by at least 5 people in "Chubby's" shirts and one older gentleman in a blue dress shirt. After a few minutes of being ignored we finally said "excuse me." I explained we wanted pies. The older gentleman asked what we wanted. We told him we wanted a lemon pie and a pecan pie but didn't see lemon. He said if it wasn't in the display they didn't have any, so we told him 2 pecan pies would do. He reached in bare handed and grabbed two in his hand with his thumb across the top of the pie and his fingers on the bottom tin pan. After he carried them around the corner, I commented to my son that he touched the pies and to see if he could witness it too. Other serve staff said "Oh we have lemon in the freezer" and took off to get us a pie. We waited, the man walked around holding our pies and my son noticed he was indeed touching the pies. They gave us the lemon pie while the older gentleman returned the 2 pecan pies to the display after I said I didn't want them. He then asked if we wanted anything else. I said, "Yes we want 1 pecan pie but not one your hand has touched." He reached in and again grabbed the pie between his finger and thumb allowing his thumb to rest on the pie. I repeated, "I don't want that one, you have touched it." He argued, "I did not". I said, "Yes sir you did and I want a different one." He said, "I most certainly did not touch the pie." I said my son witnessed it too, here (handing him the lemon pie) we don't want anything now. We turned to walk off and he stood there staring us down. I said, "Not only is touching the food disgusting, but it's illegal and a violation of health inspection policies." We left without purchasing a pie and will think twice before ever returning to such an unsanitary establishment!

I am sure you are correct Kristen but to do it in front of me then deny it when I call you on it. *** MOVE..... so call me what you will, but that was a dumb move.

stop being a little *****. if you're going out to eat, there's about a 100 percent chance someone touched your food with their bare hands.
